Here Are Some Facts You Might Not Know About Franz Kafka...
- Franz Kafka was born into a Jewish family on July 3, 1883. He was born in Prague, which is now the capital of Czech Republic.
- During his childhood Kafka experienced isolation in Prague. Kafka and his family were part of the German speaking people of Prague, who at the time distrusted the Czech speaking people of Prague.
- Kafka also experienced isolation in childhood from the community, because of their anti-semitism beliefs.
- Kafka originally enrolled in Charles Ferdinand University of Prague to study chemistry, however he immediately switch into law. After graduation Kafka worked an insurance company and wrote in the evenings.
- Kafka publish very little of his work while he was alive. After he died of tuberculosis in 1924, his friend Max Brod edited, completed and preserved many of the manuscripts which he then had published.
